Rhino Resources:
- If you don’t have Rhinoceros 3D. Please download a free version of Rhino 3D : http://www.rhino3d.com/download.htm It’s an evaluation version so you only get 25 saves. Use them wisely. *All this software is installed in the architecture computer labs. You may not have access to them before school starts.
- If your new to Rhino. Please watch the two-part Rhino intro tutorial movie located online: Part 1; Part 2.
For beginning level Rhino users:
- Do the three tutorials included in Rhino under “Help/Learn Rhino/Getting Started”. Do the Castle Tutorial, the Flashlight Tutorial, and the Duck Tutorial.
- Do the Pipe Chair tutorial located here.
- Do the Barcelona Pavilion Tutorial on David Fano’s Blog Design Reform. There are 4 parts to the tutorials. Do all 4 parts of the tutorial.
For intermediate level Rhino users:

Autodesk:
Autodesk is allowing students to use the majority of its software for free. They just need to register and go here: http://students.autodesk.com
Pretty much everything is now free including Ecotect, Revitt, Autocad, Algor professional finite analysis and fluid simulation, and much more. The list is pretty extensive and really unbelievable. These are fully functioning non-expiring software packages.
